Beauty - Neutrogena has launched Acne Proofing Gel Cleanser and Acne Proofing Daily Scrub Cream

April 22, 2018

Hi Fashionistas!! Have you ever suffered from acne? Although acne is a common skin condition, it can easily be treated and avoided by following an effective skin routine. Acne is caused by inflammation of the hair follicles and oil-producing (sebaceous) glands of the skin.

Acne often begins during puberty. It occurs when sebaceous glands in the skin are over-stimulated to produce sebum and skin cells are not shed normally. These sticky cells block the skin's hair follicles, trapping the sebum.

For the acne suffers I partnered with Neutrogena to show you their recently launched Acne Proofing™ that includes Acne Proofing Gel Cleanser and Acne Proofing Daily Scrub Cream. This is a great new acne product for your skincare arsenal. It combines gentle Neutrogena cleansing innovation and the powerful acne-fighting ingredient salicylic acid to deliver the ultimate complexion perfecting solution. Acne Proofing™ products clear breakouts, plus help preserve the skin’s natural barrier so it can finally become more acne proof.

Here are some acne skin care suggestions for you daily routine.

Give an acne treatment at least 4 weeks to work. Using a new acne product every few days may seem useful, but that approach can worsen acne. Acne treatment needs time to work. If you notice improvement, keep using the treatment. Even when you see clearing, you'll want to keep using the acne treatment. This helps to prevent new breakouts.

Wash your face twice a day and when you’re sweaty. Acne-prone skin is sensitive. Washing more than twice a day can irritate your skin, making acne worse. For best results, dermatologists recommend washing your face when you wake up and when you go to bed.

Resist touching, picking, and popping your acne. Popping a pimple may seem like the fastest way to clear it, but popping it can actually make things worse.

Spread acne medication on all acne-prone skin, not just your blemishes. Applying a thin layer on your acne-prone skin helps treat existing acne and prevent new breakouts.

Wash your pillowcases, hats, and other things that touch your skin. Dead skin cells, bacteria, and dirt will build up on these surfaces and can clog your pores.

Last but not least enlist a dermatologist if you don’t see any improvements
