Brazilian artist Margarette Mattos presents the art exhibition – UNIVERSE at the Piano Craft Gallery in Boston.
The opening was last Saturday at the Piano Factory Gallery in Boston. Among the attendees were many friends, art enthusiast and many members of the Brazilian community in Boston including the Brazilian consul Glivania Maria de Oliveira along with the Jamaican Consul Denzil D. McKenzie.
The exhibit will be on view from August 5 – August 27, 2017.

About the artist:
Margarette Mattos is a Brazilian abstract painter who currently resides in Cambridge, Massachusetts. Her contemporary pieces reflect her innovative technique of mixing iron ore fines with acrylic paint. Her paintings are characterized by bold colors and texture contrasts incorporated into geometric and abstract shapes that often resembles windows.The artist’s paintings have been exhibited in several Brazilian galleries including that of the prestigious Jo Slaviero and Guedes in São Paulo. Recently, Mattos won the 2017 Brazilian International Press Awards competition in the category of Visual Arts – Mix Media. In the First Exhibition at Brazilian Artists of New England she received first place. Additionally, the Cambridge Art Association of which she is a member awarded her first place in the category of Small Works.

their first fundraiser event in Boston in October
Giving The Glam invites you to their first cocktail fundraiser event
on October 5, 2017. This event helps the organization provide an amazing prom
experience to disadvantaged students from Massachusetts.
Giving The Glam (givingtheglam.org) is a 501(c)(3) non-profit organization based in Massachusetts. It was created and established in 2014 by visionary philanthropist and noted fashionista Maristela Rapo. Giving The Glam helps selected teens enjoy a first class high school prom experience. Students participants are provided with everything they will need to enjoy their prom in style – gowns, tuxedos, accessories, hair and makeup, professional photos, a video, car service to the venue, even a hotel room to get ready for the big event.Sounds wonderful and it is. Giving The Glam is making a difference in people’s lives.
The fundraiser will be held at the Capo Restaurant on October 5,
2017 from 7:00pm to 10:00pm. All profits will be used for the Giving the Glam
prom project.
