NYFALL 2011 - Fashion Week @ Lincoln Center - Emmanuelle Alt


O bacana destes desfiles de moda do NYFW é que as estrelas não são apenas as modelos e estilistas. O pessoal da midia, como por exemplo as editoras de revistas bam bam, são super badaladas e requisitadas, E o mais legal é que não existe aquela coisa de não me toque. O povo sai de um desfile para outro, vai embora e passa pelo mesmo corredor ou saguão que todo mundo. No último Fall 2011 NYFW eu e meu amigo o super estilista Ivan Aguilar, estavamos saindo de um desfile numa tarde fria de inverno e esbarramos com Emmanuelle Alt editora chefe da Vogue Paris. Ela super simpática pousou para vários fotográfos, mas não por muito tempo porque o frio estava tenebroso. Mas acho que o que deixou ela mais feliz, tirando o super desfile de Max Mara que ela tinha acabado de ver, foi quando meu amigo Ivan mandou um carinhoso "Good Luck Manu" (olha a intimidade dele, mas ele pode). Ela se virou imediante para nossa direção para agradecer as palavras com um super sorriso. Esse meu amigo Ivan é muito chique mesmo. E eu naquele dia mudei minha profissão para paparazo e tirer várias fotinhas da Emanuelle. Olha ai o modelito dela black- total-sem-medo-de-errar!

During NYFW the stars are not just the models and designers. The people who work for the publishers of the superpower fashion magazines such as Vogue are very important. I had an interesting experience in February at the NYFW Fall 2011. My friend the fashion designer Ivan Aguilar and I were leaving the Max Mara show on a cold winter afternoon and noticed that Emmanuelle Alt, the editor and chief of Vogue Paris, was walking in front of us. She posed outside for several photographers. My friend Ivan called out, "Good luck, Manu". She turned in our direction and said thank you with a big smile. On that day I became a paparazzo and took some pictures too! Look at her total chic black outfit.

NY Fashion Week é um dos maiores eventos de moda do mundo. Lugar para ver e respirar moda, onde modelos emprestam sua beleza para mostrar ao mundo as criações dos mais diversos designers de moda, artistas comparecem para prestigiar as coleções de seus designers preferidos, a imprensa, blogueiros, editores de moda, comparecem em peso para capturar imagens que serão eternizadas e divulgadas ao mundo inteiro. Estudantes de moda, buscam conhecimento e inspiração, curiosos e apreciadores da moda e da arte, todos se juntam com vários propósitos, ver moda, serem vistos e de alguma maneira utilizar todo aquele turbilhão de informações na sua vida real!
Encontrei muita gente bacana por lá. Olhem só os blogueiros que encontrei e foram clicados pelas lentes da minha super honey flower camera!!


NY Fashion Week is one of the biggest in the world. It's the place to see and breathe fashion, where beautiful models show the world the creations of several fashion designers, artists attend to honor the collections of their favorite designers, the press go out in force to capture images that will be immortalized and displayed to the world, and fashion students seek for knowledge and inspiration. Bloggers, fashion editors, and curious people who appreciate fashion and art, everyone together looking for the same things: to see and be seen and somehow use all that flurry of information in their real lives!

Já que as lojas aqui em USA estão começando a fazer suas liquidações de verão, vamos falar de outono 2011. Ai tenho até medo desta palavra, porque mal conseguimos nos livrar dos casacos do último inverno. Mas enfim o mundo da moda é assim mesmo. Só existem duas estações quente ou fria.  E para falar em outono seguem algumas fotos tiradas no último NY Fall 2011 Fashion Week. Foi no desfile da marca  Costello Tagliapietra.Os estilistas apresentaram uma coleção bem clássica mas ao mesmo tempo moderna. Com peças em seda, chiffon e com tons de laranja, fucsia, cinza, e blush (o novo nude dos fashionistas).

NYFALL 2011 - NY Falll 2011 Fashion Fashion Week -- CFDA/Vogue Fashion Fund



The CFDA - Council of Fashion Designers of America and Vogue magazine have created an endowment to support the next generation of American fashion designers. With monies raised, the CFDA/Vogue Fashion Fund has been established, the stated purpose of which is to generate sufficient income each year to fund significant financial awards to one or more designers and provide business mentoring. Award recipients are selected by a Committee of industry experts, based on the exceptional talent they have already demonstrated in fashion design and their capacity for future distinction in the fashion industry.
The CFDA/Vogue Fashion Fund Selection Committee annually selects three emerging fashion designer, who receive:
(1) business mentoring from an established team of fashion industry professionals, in areas such as business planning, marketing, sourcing, production, exporting, etc. and
(2) to encourage and enable the recipients to pursue his/her own independent design plan (one winner at $300,000 and two runners-up at $100,000 each).
